I use with Mac hardware . The imac doesn't have a "microphone" jack. It has a "line in" jack. The difference is that the microphone often needs more power than the line-in provides (unlike a PC microphone jack). I bought one about a year ago, and then about a month ago, I bought a second one for my home computer. It boosts not only the microphone audio, but the headphone audio too. It works well with audacity and with my other audio software. It makes a HUGE difference in volume and sound quality.
As well, I took an audio cassette, copied it to MD, then plugged the MD player into the iMic, switched it to "line in" and used Audacity to create mp3 audio files which I then burned to a disk. In this way, we were able to make a backup copy o a personal cassette tape recording.
There is better audio equipment out there, naturally. But if all you're doing is personal recording, or even some commercial recording that doesn't have to be "commercial studio quality", the iMic is a good price for a good-quality mic booster.

ステレオで取りこめます。 . MacBookPRO 13吋（2010）で使用するために購入しました。USBオーディオアダプターと称するモノは市場にあまたありますが、この製品のようにステレオでマイクまたはライン入力ができるものはなさそうです。
特別なドライバーソフトウェアも不要で、標準状態のマックにUSB接続するとすぐに使用できます（10.6および10.7で確認）。本体に直付けの接続ケーブルが細いので、機械的強度に多少不安が残りますが、いまのところ問題ありません。

IN OUTのポートが１つずつと、入出力の切り替えスイッチ、付属のコードがあるだけで軽量コンパクト（直径５cmぐらい）シンプルな物です。
（おまけで録音用アプリFinal VinylのCDが付属）
私は。PowerBook G4（15インチ CPU1.5G）につなげて使っています。
PC本体の出力ポートに繋ぐより、再生音が細部まで明瞭に聞こえます（音が増幅され、メリハリがはっきりする感じ）
KORGのKAOSSLATORの音の取り込みに使っていますが、こちらの音質はいまいちです。
後で録音したものを聞くと、少しこもりぎみの音に聞こえます。（あくまで、私の使用環境でのことです。）
おまけの録音用アプリFinal Vinyl動作は軽いのですが、私にはうまく使えません。
（いろいろ設定を変えて試しましたが、変なノイズ音のようにしかならない。）
